Beachfront resort spanning 250 hectares on Morocco's Atlantic coast, between El Jadida and Azemmour: 18-hole golf course, beach, spa and activities for all ages.

On Morocco's Atlantic coast, approximately 1.5 hours southwest of Casablanca, Mazagan Beach Resort occupies 250 hectares of oceanfront gardens between El Jadida and Azemmour. It's one of the kingdom's largest beachfront addresses: an integrated resort combining accommodation, Gary Player-designed golf, Atlantic water sports and Moroccan spa. The format is ideal for families, golfers and extended stays without daily travel.

Why stay here

Mazagan stands out for its scale and diverse on-site offerings. The resort borders a sandy beach stretching several kilometres, exposed to Atlantic winds, making it a playground for surfing, paddleboarding or simply walking. The 18-hole golf course, designed by Gary Player, is one of Morocco's most renowned links, with fairways bordering the ocean.

Beyond golf and beach, the property functions as a mini-village of activities: karting, paintball, laser games, zip-lining, climbing wall, quad biking, horseback riding. Families will find structured supervision for children and teenagers, simplifying multi-generational stays.

Atmosphere and setting

The ambiance is that of a grand international resort set on a Moroccan natural site. Low-rise buildings, organized around courtyards with fountains, draw on local architectural vocabulary—zelliges, intricate plasterwork, palm trees—without falling into orientalist pastiche. Gardens planted with palms, olive trees and Mediterranean species separate accommodation zones from pools, dining and sports areas.

The ocean, ever-present, sets the rhythm: shifting light, constant waves, sea breeze. Soundwise, you're far from Moroccan medina bustle: the dominant noise here is that of waves and, in season, family pool activity.

Rooms and suites

Accommodation spans several categories, from standard to Royal Suite.

  • Standard rooms (42-44 m²): organized around courtyards with fountains and gardens. Floor-to-ceiling windows, air conditioning, flat-screen television, minibar, safe, Wi-Fi, bathrobes, bathroom with bathtub and walk-in shower. Available with garden view, partial sea view, premium sea view and family room (86 m²).
  • Mazagan Suite (82 m²): king-size bed, lounge area, private balcony with side ocean view.
  • Executive Suite (140 m²): two separate rooms, spacious bathroom, sea-view balcony.
  • Terrace Suite (102 m²), Ambassador Suite (230 m²) and Royal Suite (342 m²): upper categories with expansive spaces and enhanced amenities.

Spa and wellness

The spa offers traditional Moroccan hammam with black soap ritual and scrub, massages, beauty institute (hair, manicure, pedicure, waxing), children's spa and fitness with ocean views (cardio, yoga, coaching).

Sports and activities

18-hole Gary Player golf course, surfing, paddleboarding, jet-skiing, clay court tennis, mountain biking, pickleball, horseback riding, archery, karting, paintball, laser games, climbing wall, zip-lining, quad biking and buggy. The Kidz Club (3-10 years) and Rush Club (11-17 years) supervise young guests with waterslides, workshops and themed evenings.

Location and access

The resort is located approximately 84 km southwest of Casablanca, in the municipality of El Haouzia, between El Jadida and Azemmour. Address: Km 10, Route de Casablanca, El Jadida 24000. Allow approximately 1.5 hours from Casablanca by private car, taxi or private shuttle. Casablanca's Mohammed V Airport is the most convenient international gateway.

Nearby

El Jadida, twenty minutes away, merits a half-day for its UNESCO-listed Portuguese citadel: ramparts, 16th-century underground cistern with its play of reflections, medina alleyways. Azemmour, more understated, spreads its whitewashed houses along the Oum Er-Rbia riverbank and hosts local artistic activity (street art, studios). To extend your journey, Casablanca to the north and Marrakech approximately 3 hours southeast make complementary stops.

When to visit

Morocco's Atlantic coast is pleasantly visited from April to October. Summer (July-August) remains temperate thanks to trade winds, making it an alternative to hotter Mediterranean destinations. Spring and autumn offer optimal conditions for combining golf, beach and cultural excursions.
