Saïdia
Saïdia
Fourteen kilometers of sand, one of the Mediterranean's largest marinas, and a 700-hectare beach resort: Saïdia, the blue pearl of Oriental Maroc.
Saïdia is a Moroccan city located in the northeast, in Berkane province within the Kebdana region. It sits approximately forty kilometers from the Algerian border. The Mediterranean Sea borders its fourteen-kilometer stretch of coastline, making it one of Maroc's most expansive beaches. Outside the tourist season, the city is home to just over four thousand residents, but during summer months, this number can swell to one hundred thousand or beyond. Saïdia is considered a privileged refuge due to its proximity to major cities: Berkane, Nador, Oujda, Melilla, Al Hoceima, and Taourirt. Saïdia is surrounded by three international airports: Oujda-Angad, Nador-Aroui, and Melilla.
The city enjoys a Mediterranean climate with average temperatures ranging from 18° to 21°C.
Saïdia's beach stands among North Africa's finest stretches of sand. A stunning bay, crystalline waters at a warm 25°C in brilliant turquoise, gentle waves caressing white, soft sand, a light breeze to refresh you—you'll find all the ingredients for an unforgettable beach day beneath a parasol. Idle hours between swimming and lounging await. Mimosas and eucalyptus trees line the beach, and a superb promenade continues along the magnificent corniche, offering breathtaking views over endless sand dunes and the infinite sea horizon. In 2009, the beach resort "Mediterrania Saïdia" was inaugurated, sprawling across 700 hectares. Here you'll discover prestigious four- and five-star hotels, holiday residences, luxurious vacation villages—all exquisitely equipped for your complete satisfaction. Everything has been designed to make your stay unforgettable.
For shopping or leisurely strolling, head to La Médina de Saïdia, North Africa's largest shopping center. Built in authentic Moroccan architectural style across more than 43,000 m², it combines an immense shopping complex with countless boutiques ranging from 300 m² to 3,000 m², luxury brands such as Lacoste and Segafredo, traditional shops, numerous restaurants, leisure clubs, bars and cafés, service providers, banks, and cinemas. La Médina is a neighborhood unto itself where you'll find everything you could need.
The Marina of Saïdia is a stunning pleasure port within the Mediterrania Saïdia complex. This port accommodates motorboats and sailboats up to 50 meters in length—it ranks as the Mediterranean's third-largest yacht marina. With a capacity of 1,350 berths, continuous harbor master surveillance, a weather station, and rescue vessels equipped to tow boats in distress, comfort is paramount. Water, electricity, and internet connectivity are available at every mooring point. This 290,000 m² complex also hosts numerous water activities: windsurfing, scuba diving, catamaran sailing, water skiing, and jet skiing. You can also venture out on authorized swordfish-hunting expeditions.
Golf enthusiasts will delight in three championship eighteen-hole courses: Palmeral Golf, Las Lagunas, and El Oasis. Set within stunning landscapes dotted with wildlife and lakes, with fairways flanked by palms and olive trees and impeccably maintained greens, you'll spend marvelous hours playing, relaxing, and savoring magnificent views. You can also attend numerous regional festivals, experience authentic Moroccan music, and dance to Raï.
