The stages of your journey
Highlights
Day-by-day itinerary

First moments of relaxation in Taroudant
Once settled at the Dar Zitoune hotel, you enjoy a first moment of relaxation with professional treatments: hammam, massage and body care.
You can then relax by the hotel's swimming pool.
In the afternoon, a carriage ride around the ramparts allows you to discover the historic fortifications of Taroudant. The city is surrounded by 7 kilometers of walls, dotted with 130 towers and 19 corner bastions connected by a walkway.
At nightfall, you dine at the hotel before spending your first night there.

Discovering the Attiq Waterfalls
You leave Taroudant to take a scenic road through the Anti-Atlas. This journey leads you to discover the gorges and the Attiq waterfalls, in a preserved natural environment.
On site, you can find a suitable spot for swimming and enjoy a walk on foot in the heart of these wild landscapes.
At the end of the day, you reach the Akka Naït Sidi nomadic camp, nestled in a natural setting. You spend the night there in a private tent, after dinner.

Crossing Lake Iriki and New Year's Eve in the Chegaga Dunes
You first take the road towards Foum Zguid, the last town before the desert. You then continue on the Dakar track, which leads you to the oasis of the M'douar mountains. A stop allows you to enjoy the landscape and take some photos.
You then cross the Iriki Lake, whose dried-out ground sometimes gives rise to magnificent mirages.
The soft sand track crosses through an area of small dunes before leading you to the erg Chegaga.
Upon arrival, a long camel ride awaits you to discover the dune landscapes.
You then head to your luxury bivouac, set at the foot of the dunes. It is in this desert setting that you celebrate New Year's Eve around a typical meal. You spend the night in a comfortable accommodation, equipped with a bathroom.

Morning in the dunes and relaxation in Mhamid
After the festivities of the previous evening, you peacefully enjoy the morning in the Chegaga erg.
You then gradually leave the desert landscapes by continuing your journey by 4x4 towards Mhamid, a rural commune in the province of Zagora, in the Drâa-Tafilalet region.
Upon arrival, you settle in at the Dar Azawad hotel, in a comfortable bungalow. You can enjoy the swimming pool, take a leisurely stroll through the palm grove or visit a museum house.
Access to the spa extends this day of relaxation. You spend the night at Dar Azawad in a double room, on half board.

Journey up the Drâa Valley and discovery of the kasbahs
You take the road towards Agdz to travel up the Drâa Valley. This stage unfolds at your own pace, according to your interests. You can thus make stops along the way or pause to photograph the panoramas that punctuate the route.
Among the recommended discoveries, plan a visit to the Tamnougalte kasbahs, where architectural heritage and picturesque landscapes come together.
Upon your arrival in Agdz, you reach the Kasbah Azul, nestled in the heart of the palm grove. You settle into a comfortable mini-suite before enjoying dinner and an overnight stay.

From the Draa Valley to the Atlas Landscapes
You leave Kasbah Azul in the morning to reach Taroudant via a scenic road through the Atlas. Along the way, you pass through two towns with well-established specialties: Tazenakht, known as the carpet capital, and Taliouine, renowned for its saffron production.
Upon arrival in Taroudant, you are welcomed to Dar Al Hossoun. This luxury establishment features a swimming pool, ideal for enjoying a moment of relaxation after the journey.
You settle in at the hotel for dinner and the night.

What I love about travel is that moment when you leave the obvious path. That's when the landscape shifts, but more importantly, so does your perspective.
